SCS-series vises are slightly wider than MCP-series vises, with a specially designed guideway between the base and moving jaw that allows the use of very tall clamping jaws with high holding force. Like all of our 5-axis vises, these vises have optimal features to allow unrestricted tool access for multiple-side machining. The standard fixed-jaw design has one fixed jaw, and one moving jaw that clamps against it. The base is made from special cast steel which guarantees high rigidity and dimensional stability. All sides are hardened and ground, providing a basis for maximum precision. Made in Germany.
The SCS80 size shown here is 80mm wide x 200mm long, with 5600 lbs maximum clamping force.
