Whirlpool saves 6,600 hours annually In search of better ergonomics for workers with differing physical abilities for their rural Tennessee plant, Whirlpool found the optimal solution at Fabtech. ROEMHELD Hydro-mechanical clamping nuts fit 90 percent of dies at the facility without requiring modifications. Setters slide T-bolts and clamping nuts onto the press bed, then hand-tighten them against the die. One or two turns of the 6-inch ratchet achieve the desired torque significantly reducing die change times. |
